November Events!  

Here at MTN Wellness we love serving the community.  We do this by hosting group rides, runs, hikes and workouts; we also partner with area gyms and outdoor spaces to bring injury prevention and treatment clinics to keep you moving and enjoying these mountains!

This month we have a focus on the ladies! 

Here is what’s on tap for November

Sunday afternoon 1:30pm Ladies Group Run (Black Mountain) - Sundays in November
Starting back up November 5th. We are a group run for those women who don’t always like group runs….criteria: run or walk your own pace, choice your mileage options, chat or don’t chat with others while running, meet back at The Collective for a coffee or beverage

If you are starting from scratch in your running goals, come out! We will have multiple mileage options for you to choose from.

Many of you are training for some big miles this winter....we would love to have you for a recovery run OR an alternate run if you miss your typical long Saturday Run.

Lastly, we will alternate both road and trail in the coming months.   Stay tuned HERE for weekly updates starting in November.


Stroller Fit - Returning to Recreation After Baby- November 16th @ 1:00 (Black Mountain)

Join our PT, Hannah, at the park to chat about returning to your favorite active hobby after pregnancy.

Bring your kids, a stroller, and let’s enjoy the outdoors. As moms, we have to multitask - why not learn some important exercises and make new friends who understand busy mom life

Here are some of the topics that will be covered along with your own questions.

Top pelvic floor & core exercises to do while walking or with your baby at the playground
Top challenges when returning to hiking, weight lifting, running or cycling!

Ladies Strength & Performance Class (Black Mountain)

We're back in the gym this month with our strength training classes Tuesday/Thursday mornings at 6am & 7 am. Whether you're training for something specific or just want to overall get stronger or more fit, these workouts are for you! These classes will work off a "punch card" system for added flexibility. Message us for more details or follow the link below to sign up individual classes!

Women's Beginner MTB Ride - November 26, 2:00 - Meet in Black Mt & Ride in Old Fort

Ladies! Get outside and ride after Thanksgiving.

If you are new to the mountain bike OR have been off the trail for a number of years, we would love to ride with you!

If you have been joining us for this ride over the last few months, we can't wait to see you again!

As always, we will review basic MTB skills, ride some miles, and not drop you as we ride for approx 1 to 1.5 hours. Led by local MTB riders, Sandra Carpentier, Sarah Cronin & Christy Shores.

  • Meet at the WNC Outdoor Collective at 1:30pm (110 Bl.Mt Ave, Bl. Mt.) We will commute from here.
  • OR meet at the G5 trailhead in Old Fort, NC at 1:45pm (1501 State Rd 1227, Old Fort) We will roll out at 2:00.

Join us for a post beverage & food at the The Outdoor Collective in Black Mountain. Invite your family and friends to join us there!
